3. modern hip-hop/r&B artists
in recent years, funko has released pop! figures for plenty of artists regardless of their genre of music. we have seen michael jackson, "weird Al" yankovic, and even justin beiber get their own figure. it seems like funo is a bit timid to release any based on hip-hop artists. they have only released pop!s of tupac and the notorious b.i.g., and had it not been for the release of the new biggie figures late last year, the tupac and original biggie pop!s were released in 2011. the demand for new hip-hop artists in pop! form is there, so what is funko waiting for? let's see JAY Z, Eminem, and snoop dogg get a proper release.
2. WWE - nxt & hall of famers
the wwe has no problem selling merchandise, especially their funko line. their first-line of figures are highly sought-after online. with that being said, it is a crime that no figures have been made for hall of famers such as edge and eddie guerrero. with them being omitted, the love for nxt is at a staggering low. johnny gargagno, tomasso ciampa, and velveteen dream have been doing a superb job in nxt for years, yet ronda rousey, who debuted early last year, had her own figure by the end of the year.
1. rockstar games
the grand theft auto series is one of the most recognized video game franchise in the world. with every new entry, records are broken, and money is made. the same can be said for rockstar's other main franchise, the red dead series. to capitalize on the successful release, consumers would love to take home a pop! of arthur morgan, john marston, or dutch van der linde. rockstar seems to be incredibly protective of their merchandise, as they are meticulous with the type of merchandise they release to coincide with the property being released. it might be a long time before you can have an official bobble-head of niko bellic or trevor phillips in your home, but with how much revenue that would bring in to rockstar, it seems impossible that they have not taken that into consideration.
happy new year!
it ain't shady. hell, it ain't even slim. it's Miguel... hold your applause! Sorry for the wait, as lil tunechi would put it. i've been extremely occupied with all sorts of stuff- whether it be school or work, you can't knock a man for the grind. anyways, i promise to work hard on this blog and bring everyone here exciting and captivating entertainment. that's what's best for business!

how's everyone doing? i hope you are all well. I would like to take this time to apologize for not posting anything on the site yet. i have been incredibly busy with my college assignments, as well as my rigorous work load. I will do my best to try and publish articles out. again, i apologize for the delay. i am brainstorming some pretty cool ideas- i think you'll like them.
My name is M-to-the-i-g... kidding! hey everyone, my name is
miguel ortiz. i live in woodstock, il, and am currently studying journalism at mchenry county college. i went to high school with mateo, and have followed his career since. since both of our career paths intertwine, why not use our gifts to create something special? i will be posting blog entries and that sort of jazz every thursday. so a little about me... i am 20 years-old, and am an avid (like the alliteration?) music fan, especially hip-hop/rap. some of my favorite artists are kanye west, the notorious b.i.g., outkast, lil wayne, and jay z, just to name a few. i hope you like what i have to share with you guys, and let me know if there's anything i can do to improve what i post. thank you to mateo for the incredible opportunity he has given me, and i am sure to not let you down. stay ill!
What's up y'all? iLL-matter here just wanting to show some appreciation to the fans and supporters, which, i consider more as friends. I want to thank you for following me through this journey together. we are one movement. one nation. most artist don't take the time out to thank the people who are gonna put them or have put them in a high position. and i never understood that. i just wanted to take time out of the day to show y'all some love. it's the Least i can do. lets keep pushing this movement forward and spread to as far as we possibly can! tell your friends and family. we are the #illest
NOw, don't get it twisted. We ain't here to roast Ms. Rousey (cuz frankly, she could probably whoop all our asses at the same time). And although it was a disappointing loss for Team Rousey, we still hope she fights again. She doesn't have a thing to conquer in the ufc anymore but, this loss does give something to prove. prove she's still the great fighter she once was. Usually a loss like this happens when you just lose love for the sport or are just plain distracted by other things (what she gotta be in movies for??? She ain't "The Rock"). She looked focus on the outside but, as they say, looks can be deceiving. Like we said, we hope she comes back and is actually with the desire to fight because after this, it doesn't seem like she wants to fight anymore. Congrats to team Nunez as well! She doesn't get enough credit for this win.
With that said....
